The Counting House is a Wetherspoon establishment that’s located on Glasgow’s St Vincent Place. This grand old building, rich with history and full of character, was formerly a bank. The Italian Renaissance style, as conceived by architect J T Ruchead in 1867, would subsequently be replicated in much of the West End of George Square. In more recent times, the pub made history by becoming the first Wetherspoon outlet in Glasgow to set a no smoking policy. Today, The Counting House attracts a steady stream of city professionals who stop by to socialise and enjoy a well-earned drink after work. Wi-fi is available for the convenience of business patrons. More importantly, a selection of cask ales and malt whiskies warrant closer inspection, while a varied menu presents breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Whether you’re in the mood for porridge, a bacon roll or a 10oz rib-eye steak, you’ll find something here to suit your tastes. A popular curry club runs on Thursdays, while special food and drink offers are available throughout the year. Children are welcome in The Counting House, making it an ideal spot for enjoying lunch with the family at the weekend.

Was standing at the bar alone, as a stranger in a strange land, waiting on a friend & the superb bar tender, who I believe was called \'Robert S\' recognised I was not from the area & that I was alone. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome & guaranteed me that he\'d pour me the best pint of Tennents I\'d ever tasted. The man did not disappoint. Fantastic service from young Robert S.
